What is an LCSW?

An LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a social worker, I have been trained to focus on the person in environment, meaning I focus on how a person's environment and history have created certain experiences and memories which in turn lead a person to react or think a certain way.

What are your areas of expertise?

Although I've worked with many different populations and diverse settings, my area of expertise is addressing anxiety either with individuals or in family settings.

How long does each therapy session take?

Each session takes between 50-60 minutes.

What does the first session look like?

The first session is most commonly known as an assessment or an evaluation. It will most likely include a questionnaire and other questions to obtain an overall history of you. Questions might be related to your family history, past trauma or event that may be traumatic, whether previous therapy has been tried, etc. Although these questions may seem cumbersome, it helps me get a "sense" of you.

Can you complete medical/disability forms?

Medical or disability forms can be completed on very rare occasions, it is important you understand how medical/disability forms can affect you. Furthermore, for any client requesting a form, a minimum amount of treatment sessions is required to assist me in determining your disability and its effect on your daily life. It is highly encouraged you speak with your Primary Care Physician or Psychiatrist for assistance in completing these forms.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes, on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to ask me more either by phone or when making your first appointment. Current rate for self-pay client is $100 per session.

What insurances do you accept?

Currently accepting Cigna, Aetna, BCBS, United Health, Oscar, Avmed, and Humana. For questions related to insurance co-pay, deductibles, and coverage, please reach out to your insurance provider or you can e-mail billing@growtherapy.com for questions related to billing. Please note each insurance company and plan has different rates and costs, before our first session, please make sure to verify with your insurance company about the possible charges.
